Martin’s Dairy was established and run by the Martin family in the early 1900s. It originally produced its own ice-cream, clotted cream and milk which was provided from a local farm. During the 1980s, although still providing Cornish dairy produce, the business was transformed into a major local bakery.
In 1998, the Butters family bought the business and have continued to expand the bakery business making Martin’s Dairy one of the leading individual bakeries in Cornwall.
Concentration in the business is on produce straight from the in-shop bakery, providing freshly made Cornish pasties from the best, locally sourced ingredients. Martin’s Dairy’s famous fruit and plain scones are perfect for their fantastic cream teas and recent emphasis has been placed on speciality bread – ancient cereal loaves, sourdough bread and cheesy sourdough. All this along with the huge variety of other standard and luxury bakery produce made on the premises make Martin’s Dairy the perfect Cornish bakery for quality and value.
